Testimonials

During the past year, as a country, we faced one of the most racially and culturally divisive periods since the civil rights movement. To move forward, many organizations and people at large needed to acknowledge the gravity of the moment, while addressing the anger, confusion, frustration, and healing. The question is how? How do we broach this issue, while creating a safe space for people to be themselves and be honest? It would take someone with the experience, empathy, and a deep historical understanding of this issue. At Independence Care System (ICS), an organization that serves people with physical disabilities and have staff who live in communities that are directly impacted, we chose to go with Dr. Ebony Green. Wow! Were we fortunate to do so! Dr. Green brought everything we needed to grieve, learn, and better understand what was happening around us to ultimately create a pathway for healing. Dr. Green’s ability to empathize, challenge the prevailing perspectives, and to think broadly was an experience that everyone should have. We look forward to having Dr. Green back as her compassion and insight make us better individuals, better coworkers, and ultimately a better company.

Dr. Green’s teachings are like an invitation we have been waiting for - as a participant in our course remarked, “right on time.” Her framework, Acts of Liberation, invites us to discover the gifts in our challenges and the blindspots in our belief systems. A true framework of unlearning, it invites us to honor the provocations in our life and surrender in a way that offers hope and reinvigoration. Dr. Green's modeling of vulnerability through authenticity in her sharing and teaching is a mirror of our wholeness and completeness, waiting to be remembered.
